Late 1800s Indian Hand Crafted Ash Wood Snowshoes 45"

Antique late 1800's Indian hand crafted ash wood snowshoes measuring 45" x 15" with rawhide webbing and original leather bindings.

It takes a labor intensive 1 1/2 hours to weave the rawhide in just one snowshoe, and must be done by hand.  These have original, crude repairs that add to their charm, probably done in front of the fireplace during the evening.
